Ms. Emily Singh

Member of Simcoe HousePrior to working at SJK, Ms. Emily Singh worked at Brentwood College School in BC for four months as a Boarding Faculty Assistant, which she left to cover a maternity leave at Bayview Glen in Toronto.
Before her teaching career, Ms. Singh spent her summers working at a local outdoor summer camp and worked at Lindt Chocolate Shop through school. When Ms. Singh decided she wanted to be a teacher, she knew she wanted to be an IB teacher. Ms. Singh lived the experience of being a DP student, which can be intense, but through that time and beyond, she maintained and deepened her love of learning.
As an IB Continuum School, Ms. Singh saw that SJK prioritizes the lifelong learning that was a major motivator for her entry into the education field. She is so excited to share her love for learning with the SJK community! There's so many people to meet, so much fun to be had, and lots of exploring to be done.

Ms. Singh completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in kinesiology and English literature at the University of Western Ontario. As well as a Bachelor of Education at the University of New Brunswick and obtained the IB Educator Certificate (DP).
Equally as important, after living in Toronto for a year and a half, Ms. Singh missed the trees and is ncredibly happy to be among them again. Her hobbies include reading, rock climbing, hiking, and puzzling.
