Mr. Scott Pollard

Chair
Scott is the President of Palmer Audio Inc. (located in Cambridge, Ontario), a boutique event and audio-visual services company he founded in 1980. Scott’s primary area of expertise is the technical design and implementation of large-scale special events, such as the World Youth Day / Papal visit in Toronto in 2002, the SARS concert in Toronto in 2003, One Young World in Ottawa 2016, many motorsport events across North America since 1989 and countless other events of all sizes.

During Scott’s career, he has led the creation, build and management of many large-scale events and projects across Canada, USA, Mexico, as well as numerous other countries. His extensive experience in leadership and entrepreneurship positions him to provide unique perspectives to the many boards Scott has been part of over the last 25 years.

Currently, Scott is a board member of The Awesome Music Project Foundation, a national charity focusing on mental health, and Recovery Speaking Initiative, an organization focusing on mental health challenges bought on by sexual abuse and The Event Safety
Alliance Canada, to which he shares his knowledge and expertise.

Scott is a past parent and current grandparent of four SJK students. Scott was a member of the Board of Governors from 1999 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2011 where he was the Chair of the Development and Facilities committee and the Secretary of the Board. Scott joined the SJK Foundation in 2014 and has been the Chair of the Foundation since 2015.
