Her studies focused on research-informed practices as well as an inquiry approach to teaching, aligning closely with the IB curriculum at SJK.

Ms. Rahmaty strives to ensure that students from various backgrounds feel safe and valued in the classroom. She believes that fostering a deep sense of belonging will allow her students to express themselves confidently, take risks in their learning and develop a love for learning. She is deeply committed to centering the child at the heart of her teaching practice with a focus on security, child development and wellbeing. She sees these elements as essential foundations for successful inquiry-based learning, where students are encouraged to follow their natural curiosities.

Ms. Rahmaty feels an immense sense of gratitude for the SJK community. She values the authentic sense of connection which is apparent across the entire school community. Since she started, she has developed genuine relationships with faculty and students across all grades. She is consistently inspired by the way everyone at SJK is united by a collective passion for teaching and learning. She is grateful to be a part of a community that cares so deeply about making a meaningful difference in the world.

Outside of teaching, she enjoys horseback riding, staying active by going on runs and playing pickleball as well as spending time at the beach.
