Expanding Physical Education, Club Activities, and Recess Engagement

By supporting the OmniCourt, you’re investing directly in student well-being and school life:

Excel: Support student-athletes with a dedicated training and development space.
Connect: Foster friendships and leadership through recess, clubs, intramurals, and shared experiences.

Expanding Physical Education, Club Activities, and Recess Engagement

At SJK, bold dreams, generous hearts, and a “can-do” spirit define who we are. This shared vision has shaped our campus and strengthened our community. Today, we’re inviting you to be part of our next exciting chapter: the creation of the OmniCourt—a transformative, all-season, multi-sport space designed to elevate student life, wellness, and play.

Why the OmniCourt?

Athletics and recreation are vital to student development—physically, emotionally, and socially. As we build momentum from our ARCH (Active, Resilient, Connected, Healthy) initiative, the OmniCourt represents a crucial next step.

This versatile, outdoor facility will serve students of all ages and abilities, offering a safe, engaging space for year-round activity. From basketball and floor hockey to pickleball and skating, the OmniCourt invites students to explore new sports, join clubs, and participate in co-curriculars that enrich their SJK experience.

A Holistic Vision for Wellness

SJK is committed to nurturing the whole student—mind, body, and spirit. Through ARCH, we’re reimagining wellness on campus. While ARCH is a long-term commitment, the OmniCourt delivers immediate impact—an inclusive space where students can move, connect, and thrive now.

Why Now?

The OmniCourt is being funded entirely through donations from SJK parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on student life—right now and for generations to come.

Together, we can create a place where students can play, grow, and thrive.

  • Is this part of the Campus Master Plan?

The OmniCourt, much like previous additions such as the Lower School Playground and the Art, Design and Media Centre, have been incorporated into our evolving Campus Master Plan.

The OmniCourt will be located near the Lower School Playground and Pavilion, ensuring convenient access. Its placement will not impact our broader campus expansion plans, allowing us to continue with our long-term vision for growth and development.
  • How does this project impact the plans for the new Active, Resilient, Connected, Healthy (ARCH) building?

We are dedicated to the holistic well-being of our students through mind, body, and spirit development. The ARCH (Active, Resilient, Connected, Healthy) initiative boldly reimagines how we support student wellness, providing state-of-the-art facilities designed to encourage physical activity, mental well-being, and social connection.

While the ARCH represents a long-term commitment to enhancing our campus infrastructure, the OmniCourt provides an immediate benefit to our students. As a dynamic, multi-use outdoor space, it will complement the ARCH by offering students expanded opportunities for movement, competition, and recreation right away. Whether used for recess activities, structured athletic training, spontaneous play, or community-building activities, the OmniCourt will serve as an extension of our commitment to student well-being.

Investing in the OmniCourt means investing in a culture of health, inclusion, and excellence at SJK. As we continue to build momentum around the ARCH project, the OmniCourt ensures that our students can benefit from enhanced recreational spaces now. By creating a vibrant, multi-use space that fosters physical activity and social connection, we are taking a vital step forward in realizing our long-term vision for student wellness.
