Mr. Mike Ma

Mr. Ma is the Boarding & Library and Learning Commons Assistant at SJK. Prior to taking on this role, he had over twenty one years of teaching and administrative experience in education, including the roles as supply teacher, associate professor, department head, co-director in China, USA and UK.

He has a keen passion for working in an independent boarding school and he admires SJK's leadership and the picturesque environment where all people may offer their unique perspectives and flourish.

As an educator, Mr. Ma always acts as a facilitator, listener, and observer helping students become intellectual, moral and responsible global citizens. He believes that boarding life is an important part of students’ social emotional learning and profoundly affects their academic performance and future life. He makes every effort to create a home away from home environment where everyone feels accepted and included, encouraged, and respected.

He enjoys Chinese calligraphy, cooking, reading, spending time with his families and walking in his spare time.
